Here is a new service that offers mobile users a temporary phone number to give out to people you first meet to who you're not so sure about.

This new service allows its users to socialise and meet new people without the fear of giving away their personal details. "Stay Safe" enables the user to obtain their own temporary telephone number. It is connected directly to their existing mobile phone, this allows the user to hand out their new temporary number to people they meet, whilst remaining in control as to whether they take any future calls.
The system works by routing a temporary number to users existing mobile phone, which they do by sending "CALL" to 80876 at a charge of just £1.50. You are then returned a message containing a temporary phone number connected to the mobile number you sent the text from. All calls to the temporary number are screened allowing the recipient to refuse a call if they wish; each temporary number is connected for one week and can be disconnected at any time by texting 'CALL END' to 80876.A useful service for us all to keep in our address book. www.safe-talk.co.uk

Interesting.. something like, whats been happening with email addys and those temp. Credit Card or such that one can use online.. Hope there arent any cross connection (no joke. It happened with me, even on a mobile to mobile call) imagine your future u-know-hu becoming a u-dont know-who, due to a wrong call forward :lol: ! Nice service though.. Wish I could get it, to give out to debtors :P
