ok so i live in america and i ordered a k750 from tigerdirect.com and i put my sim card in it and it says. no network coverage. so i called cingular and they said to call sony ericsson so i called them and they said that it was a european phone and to call cingular and make sure that they send a 1900 signal and if they do then there may be something wrong with my phone and he said try updating it. do you think that flashing it to a w800 would help? if not please help with suggestions. thanks! |

Flashing the phone won't help any. If you are in an area where Cingular does NOT have 1900 coverage, you're screwed. I'm using mine in Texas and there are quite a few dead spots where I get Zero reception or "Emergency Use Only" message. You should either get the W810 which is quad-band, or wait for a couple of months for Cingular to pickup the new K790a, which will have the 850mhz frequency. Try returning it to Tiger or flip it on ebay if they won't take it back. |

@calonm - Welcome to Esato dude . . . I hope that your problem will be solved in a jiffy. I agree with Tervel's suggestion though.

Murpy must be laughing pretty hard at me right now. Not even a day passed by and now my phone gets no reception at my new house... It used to work just fine in the past 3 weeks until I wrote that it was working fine . |
