Well the w810i that I bought on eBay for £184 arrived today, the box was still security sealed and in perfect condition – Anyway after thinking it was broken for about 20 mins I realised that I had put the battery in upside down…. No jokes please
Once I got that sorted and through the start up wizard I already liked the phone, the size is awesome and the keys are easy to press, the display is crisp and clear. also having a 2mp camera instead of a 1mp (like on my old phone) makes a big difference, the walkman function is very good and the sound quality is the best I’ve ever heard on a phone, the only down side is the FM radio, it just doesn’t seem to get very good reception and sounds very fuzzy, I haven’t had time to look through every thing yet but the phone appears to be very good and I would recommend it to any SE virgin like myself or even the SE veterans, you wont be disappointed – well unless you over analyse everything….

FM reception on mobile phones is generaaly a bit crap anyway, just try it outside in the open air and the reception will most likely improve.
Edit: Welcome to Esato!

Surely by sg you dont mean super glue do you?? Why not just stick some pieces of paper down the sides of the battry, works a treat in the T610.

Hi catalyst - I got my W810i today and think that I may have done the same as you with the battery. The trouble is I can't get the battery cover of now. Do you think that this is due to the battery being upside down and did you have this trouble.

Still wont come of, i'm guessin because the battery is upside down there is less room between the cover and the battery for any movement. Thanks any way.

If you put some ice in a plastic bag and carefully ice down the battery cover, it should slide off easier.
I haven't tried this myself, so be carefull!

If this is the case, then I guess ice won't be of much help.

Did you try and charge it with the battery in the wrong way? because it might of caused the casing to heat up and fuse together..... |

Yep, put the sim the battery in and put it on charge. Tho it didnt get warm, so kinda hopin it's not fused. The trouble now is the sim is stuck inside aswell.

When you try to slide it open, don't apply to much pressure with your thumb (on the "w"). I tried it on my w810i and too much pressure is almost worse than too little pressure. You should apply the pressure just below the seam. (Above the "w")
Hard to explain, hope you get my drift.....
