today i bought stereo portable handsfree HPM-70(original) for my k750i.this stereo portable handsfree is the w800 package.the sound of this handsfree is so low,no good bass,no quality.for a good quality i should to go at the equalisier and turn the all at maximum.my first handsfree portable was more good, and his quality was more good and perfect.who is having w800 can tell me if the sound from HPM-70 is good?maybe my phone is not ghood for this handsfree.i'm so dissapointed about the quality of sound.and this handsfee was expensive. |

Maybe you've got the wrong size ear 'cups' on. If the cups aren't the right size, then the sound won't properly reverberate through your ears.

depends on the size of your ear. did you push the earphone all the way into your ears? |

Maybe you've got a defective headset. Why don't you test your mate's one on your phone and see if there's any difference.

Problem is not the headset.
You must have an early addition of the k750i or one with a crap firmware. Me you both are in the same position. I bought my k750i last year May, and have bought 3 HPM-70's since and they have all sounded horrible. I tested these on my freinds w800i, and it still sounded crap. Since then more of my friends have bought k750i's and w800i's and recently i tested the earphones on there phones. They sounded perfect. Its the firmware your k750i holds, as with the newer k750i firmware i manage to put the volume to full, without it distorting, thats edited with prefered qualiser settings. (3 bars in the equiliser are to the top)
Unless you want to go through the hassle of updating your firmware, i suggest you buy some 'cheap' unofficial 3.5mm jacks as they for some odd reason work like a charm for mine.
To sum it up... Official HPM-70's do no work so good with mine they distort at highest volume. Unofficial ones which i own, sound perfect (much like my hpm70's when using them on my friends latest k750i/w800i)

Yes it should. Im not the kind to update my firmware frequently, or at all for that matter. I hear too many uncertain stories for me to risk breaking my phone, so i shall just accept what my firmware is. Before the HPM-70 was released, people were making their own 3.5mm jacks. If you are as much of a sound quality nerd as me, then i would research on how to make your own using 2 things.
The official handsfree which you speak off in your original post.
The small 3.5mm convertors. aprox 2cm long wire.
Make one of them and use your HPM-70 earphones and voila. You shall have the best of both. It will have better sound quality then any HPM-70 (even with new firmwared k750i)
Cheap 3.5mm convertors tend to have a cheap fast port adapter (if anyone has had on you will understand what i mean) and often pops out. The official handsfree which comes with a k750i never springs out randomly. However the cheap ones have the best sound quality. So making one best of both, will offer something even more enhanced then the HPM-70.
But too answer your question... yes once updating your firmware, the hpm-70 shall sound a million times better then it does now. (No distortion, use of equaliser, full volume) If you do decide to risk changing firmware please share how you went about doing so... as im slight cautious. |

Yesterday I got my new HPM-70 headset, and wow! It simply rocks! - Musical Nirvana, if u ask me.
The "small" cups work best for me, giving maximum bass and comfort. The medium size is okay, but using the large cup is the worst thing i could expect.
