Hi guys,

I live in Australia and apparently all the sim cards here come with 2 lines embedded (for use with the "alternate line service"), of course our telecos here don't even offer that particular service which makes it kind of useless.

However, one side effect is that my t68i recognizes the 2 lines and when a call comes in, the display scrolls between "Line 1" and the name/number of the caller - which is very annoying as I have to wait for it to scroll back to their name to see who is calling.

Just wondering if anyone has found a way around this?

Thanks.

It is a feature of t68i, not a bug.

Hi, I live in Australia too and I own a T65 on Optus. I get the same thing but I changed "Line1" to say "Do u wanna". So the phone now scrolls with "Do u wanna answer?" when recieving a call. Do this by:
Settings> Display> Edit line tags
OR
4> 5> 8.

You can edit it to whatever you want up to 18 characters. I reckon it's pretty funky now.

I realise this is a feature of the t68i but it is activated automatically when I don't/can't use it.

I'll give my provider a call and see if they can deactivate it from their end but I have a feeling it might just be the sim card that "supports" 2 lines even though my provider does not.

And skilly - thanks for the tip hehe, although i still have to wait to see who's calling, a tad annoying considering there is so much screen space to display all the info at the same time!
