well the cam of the w800 which i used before replacement was really gr8...but the one i got replaced are too noisy indoor!! i mean untill i click the capture button the pics r clear but jst after tht the pics really gets noisy!!!!....but out door shots are really great....

i updated to the latest firmware....
any solutions pls....

I think u have not done auto focus properly.the pic is noisy in indoor b cus there will b light variation.
othervise u had not turn of macro some times.....................
and one thing never zoom the pic beyond 2x b cus its digital zooming not optical.

in indoor take the pic with out zooming it will b perfect

try using nightmode or flash or both at the same time indoors and it will get less noisy.

well i dont zoom...and i have tried other settings too...but without sunlight...its damn noisey......
does any1 else have this prob?

I'm sorry that I don't know quite know what is the cause of your problem. I have however noticed that unless there are very bright lights on when I take pics indoors with the w800, there always seems to be some sort of noise on the pic.

Having just written the above, I tried taking a pic this moment (indoors, low lighting). I noticed that the viewfinder appears clearer prior to taking the pic, and it appears grainier once taken. I think this may just be an inherent "feature" of the cam in low-light situations. [addsig]
