I have just bought a Nokia 6680 (sorry it's not an ! ) which had a keypad fault, which I've fixed by fitting a new keypad membrane, but have another problem.

The phone has a lock code on it! I've emailed the previous owner, who doesn't know what the code is. He said he had pin1 and pin2 codes, both of which I've tried, along with 12345, 1234, 0000, and 00000 with no joy. I've tried installing the PC suite, but it won't recognise the phone when plugged into the usb cable. It probably needs to be fully powered up, which I can't do without the lock code!

I've tried one of those online master code generators, but they apparently don't work on BB5 Nokias, think it needs someone with more hardware than I have!

Can anyone help me by removing the lock code? I'm willing to send the phone off to someone established, and of course will pay for the postage and for your trouble.

let it flash with the latest fw ( V 5.04.07 ), then the lock code will be set to 12345

Sadly I don't have the equipment to flash the phone, I may have to take it to someone to get it done - unless someone here on Esato can do it for me!

Yep, that's the one I tried, been told those mastercode generators don't work with the new BB5 Nokias (not yet anyway)

Taking it to the local backstreet unlocking bloke today, based in a newsagents, only choice left at the mo it seems!
