I just noticed that whilst browsing a folder in the file manager you can search for a file simply by typing the filename- jst like wen uve opened the phonebook and u want to search for a contact. Its gr8 if ure like me and uve got like 2Gb's worth of Mp3s and u want to find and set 1 as ure tone. Has anyone else spotted this feature? Ive never read about it b4.

weird thing in my phone is that it searches the file with the letter preceeding of what you have typed. e.g you type "C" it points to the first file with "B" as the first character. type "O" and it goes to the file with "N". >_> |

I think that is position number of list from top, just check it up, when you press \"5\" even on top left shown \"J\" it will point to the fifth list name from top, so maybe search field in top left is a bug.. |

@juming its another case... i guess thats with the previous firmwares but not R1BC
@johnny yes indeed i noticed that one too. instead of pointing you to the exact file, the cursor lands you a notch/file before the thing that youre looking for... well sol gud to me as long as i can go near to what im lookin for.

after testing this out a bit..the search by character function works when there are no folders in the current directory..let's say you're searching for something in the "Other" directory..the search works..but it doesn't work on the "Themes" directory nor the "Sounds" root directory (only in subdirectories). |

I forgot i posted this and didnt notice there were replies !
Strange that i doesnt work for everyone... I'm running f/w version R1BC002, and it searches watever i type in so long as i'm in the last folder in the directory (e.g- there aren't n e more folders in the currently opened folder, that wot u were sayin johny_dmonic?)

Works perfectly on some folders and on some points to one step above in list. Works even if folder has only subfolders, but not if there is files and folders. No crashes.
