Hi!
sometimes when someone is calling me my phone reboots and the ringtone has changed to the same tone as the default alarmtone..
I cant understand why.

Having the same probs. with ringtone etc.
Already 5 times has my S700 a suddenly rebooth :S weird phone:P still lovin it!!!

Ok, a guy told me that it was a bug in the phone when you had a background image that was in size like 640x480. He told me to resize it to the display size.. but i dont know if there was any changes.
It is really disturbing when the phone reboots in my pocket also.
Sometimes the phone have be shutdown. and i must start it from scratch.
I dont know if its because i have dropped in floor sometimes or 
Maybe the electronics isnt so good now.
What firmware are you using? |

sometimes it can be corrupted mp3 file
on the v800/s700 sometimes an mp3 file, runs perfectly, but for example say you are exiting the media player, the phone crashes and restarts
the actual mp3 file is sometimes causing it, a quick remedy would be to try to copy the file over again?
also try with another ring tone ? |

i think my phone reboots and behaving strange because i have dropped it in floor a few times.. and i think that it didnt like it |

well try with other midi's, preset or otherwise!
if it only happens with your midi's, then i would have thought it would have been your midi's at fault

THAT could probably be it ! My average used to.. .. well lets say it dropped many more times this past year and half.. however even before or after: not much by way of remedy.. Tried all.. Preset themes, no BG image, mem stick without and with. Memory loaded with files & w/out. Mines mostly restricted to GPRS time re boots (but 'in pocket' onez 2 hav happend) .. changed frm R3B EU to many otherz.. yet.. BtW- ne1 knw fr sure wich FW allows unlock wen swivel open, instead of sidebar or *unlock ??

Ok, i can try to use a default ringtone and take my background away.

Its a very common bug with S700s, mine reboots at least once a day. You just have to learn to live with it...

@orfeous.. Like Martin sez, once u av dated, courtship is done too.. Married n Consummated ur marriage.. Honeymoon is done too.. Gotta live with it so long as together.. Oh and by the way.. those loosend charger contact area that kinda shorts the internals is the biggest fcukup.. Gt it cleand, de cloggd if u cud, its worn so just b careful.. Hope u dont twiddle dwiddle the live wire to insert/ adjust to darling S700.. that actually duz no gud 2 da, as it is slow s/w interface (compared to newer fones)

ok, i didnt understand that message about marriage and everything..
i got the message \"insert sim\" sometimes too
got the same message in my T630 too
maybe my sim-card isnt so good or if i have just to
clean the contact area with some alcohol..
or ask if my provider can send me a new SIM. |

lucky me, haven't experienced the reboot issue since i upgraded my FW via SEUS (i only experience the error PLAYBACK FAILED when playing music on the phone, but that's another topic)...
you could try taking a look at another thread that has a similar title... it is S700 still rebooting
