How to make money if not an adult yet? |

Hello all,sorry if my topic is stupid or something but i wanted to know how could i make some cash if i'm not an adult yet? My parents won't give me money if I say "I would like Nokia N70 (for example) or SE K800,can I have it?" They would usually answer "You already have a phone (w800),so you must wait." Here is what I want to ask you people,how can I make money? I don't quite want to do something illegal like some persons i know that make money with stolen phones.If anyone wishes to reply i will be happy.

Get a job perhaps?
Or build a time machine, go back to last week and get the lottery numbers, tell me the numbers and ill give you 3% of what i win

eeeek.... eBay's a bit too tricky for 16-year-olds. how about asking your parents for compensation whenever you get A's on your exams/report card? my mom never agreed to that sort of thing, but my cousin's been doing it for quite some time and he's earned hundreds of dollars since. and, being 16 and all, you can do it my way and get a job during summer/winter breaks. |

btw, you're pretty lucky to have gotten a w800 solely out of your parents' pockets. best be happy with what you have now until you find a way to be able to buy things that you want on your own. i'm betting none of your peers have a w800. i myself have worked at fast food establishments during breaks and they give pretty good compensation, not to mention free food.  it's a good way to build up your resume early on as well.

thank you again for you reply.although i live in romania you must not believe that romania is somehow like the poor african countries (no offence).and unfortunately i am the only one with w800,all my friends have Nokia N70,Samsung D600,nokia n91 and all other sorts of high end mobile phones .I should prepare for the upcoming summer to see if i can get a job somewhere |

wow. (btw, did not mean to offend you in any way either.) i'm 19, live in the US and i'm the only one with a walkman series phone in my age bracket. the only other person i saw with a w800 was some 30-something-year-old dude at a knicks game. i've never seen anyone else walking around in nyc any of the phones you've mentioned. i guess we're lagging behind.  though i guess it's because blackberries and windows mobile phones are more to their liking. kids are so lucky these days. btw, out of all the phones you've mentioned, i think your w800 has the best camera IMHO. and all your friends have to carry around iPods and what not while you don't have to.

Seems to me like you are so bothered about being up to date with your friends etc. Like people have said get a job and save for something new but you are lucky if i was 16 and had a w800i out of my parents pockets i would be very happy as i were.

u have ONLY w8?!?! oh, i am so sorry for u and all your friends have n70 etc u wrote that u are young ( probably u still go to school ). do u know how long u have to work to get a new fone? how to save money maybe 2 or 3 month long, just to take another model? no offence, but many of us are older then u, have family, so far more responsibility then u and even they cannot go for a new model or have to wait to have the money for it. so, pls dont mind, but i cannot feel even a tiny sorry for your problem.
