I'm wondering what you guys are using for a case (if anything) for the 8800

I had previously tried the scuba (see pic) but the plastic bit atthe front on the top broke from stress placed on it across the phone. I bought a second one and it did exactly the same.

I just want something that will sit nicely on my belt but still show the styling

any ideas?

I dont like using a case, i think it makes all phones look horrible, lol therfore i take the risk and dont use a case for my 8800, i just keep it in my pocket with nothing else in it.
But if u find a nice case i might consider it

Ive been looking around and that case you already had seems to be the only one to show it off, the rest are those universal ones, or pouch thingys.

I too prefer the phone naked! When I had mine I used it out of a case.

yeah naked is the best but you need somewhere to put it sometimes so that you don't lay it down and forget it and/or have quick fingers pick it up and take it.

places like in a restaurant or pub and pockets really are not the best place

Agreed. Well what about one of those leather horizontal cases, they dont look good but they are good for having it on a belt I suppose?

I've got a leather horizontal case I got at CPW in the days of the Nokia 8210 which is still going strong, and that is what I am using, but it does kinda hide the phone

still looking around the web though...

Yeah I know what you mean. Well I havent found anything. Krussell dont do anything though do they? I would expect that to be quite good if they did.

krusell are generally my first choice and I have had one for each of my phones, including the P series, but I don't find anything they do for the 8800 unfortunately

This should be good, offers little protection but great for showing the phone off. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FOR-NOK[....]QQcategoryZ35155QQcmdZViewItem

Works really great to, you just pop the phone in and out, it sorta snaps it in. so you use the phone as it is "Naked" then snap it into it's little holster

@Coxy, 1st one "ugh!", 2nd one is no better than what I have. sorry

@kk.226, thanks for the suggestion but I don't trust holsters. I lost a startac due to one of those that was supplied with the startac. the phone had popped out and I didn't even notice. I vowed I would never use such a phone holder every again. Indeed I only use cases if the belt hook has a lip that hooks under the belt to make it more secure

that looks awfull man, infact all the cases I have seen look apauling. I must say I never understand the people who insist on using a belt case when they can just put the bloody thing in their pocket.

Masseur I honnestly don't think you of all people would be stupid enough to leave a 300 quid phone somewhere

I dont think it's stupid at all.
It's a great phone and I for one had to treat it like a gem.
At least with a case he'd actually be able to use it without worry.

Some silicon cases are quite nice.

after a few beers I wouldn't trust myself to be thinking about "where is my phone!"
