Hi, im new here and sorry if this has already been posted..

I have installed the latest SSUS software and everytime i run it i get a Fatal Error saying "java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException" i click ok and it closes. i've tried installing it again, i've got the latest java installed etc.

Any help on getting this working would be greatfull as i want to update my phone.

Hello!

I have got another Java problem with SEUS. When i start "Update Service - Phones" i only get the error message "Missing JVM" "Could not locate a Java Virtual Machine". I have the latest Sun JRE installed and i have reinstalled both SEUS-client and Sun JRE, but no luck.

Reinstall Windows. Or uninstall all tweaked applications such as ObjectDesktop and others.

You don't need to reinstall windows, just install the Sun JVM from www.java.com. It's on there somewhere.

Tried that but still i get
java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException

Tested with Java
jre-1_5_0_05-windows-i586-p.exe
jre-1_5_0_06-windows-i586-p.exe
jre-1_5_0_09-windows-i586-p.exe

with the same result
Very frustrating.

Any more suggestions???

Somehow i managed to make it work.

I think it might be for the reason i did not have the phone connected when i started the updater software.

Anyhow i also uninstalled my java and installed 1.5 update 5.
Then i uninstalled the updater software and deleted the folder
c:\\Program Files\\Sony Ericsson\\Update Service\\

Then i reinstalled UpdateService_Inst_2.6.4.9.exe.
Afterwards i started the updateservice without connecting my phone and it worked. Also installed some usb driver by itself.

Anyhow the software is really stupid. It tell me to pull out the sim card and batteri and restart the phone and stuff and once it checks for a software it says there is no newer software version!!!!!
All the trouble and no update. They could show if there is any software prior to letting me take out the damn sim card and all.

Plain stupid.
