Any ideas mates what model will it be? As I learned that digicams can capture nicer images if it has an optical zoom . . . as digital zoom will result a pixelated or perhaps a blurred image when taken Thanks! [addsig]

I think that the K800 or the Z800 sucsessor will be the firs to have optical zoom. I think that K series has to remain small, as that is the main attraction about them. Oh and digital zoom is basically cropping an image and then resizing it. Digital zoom is merely a marketing gimmick cause you can do the same thing on the computer with less chance of missing things in the picture.

Not nessecerily, the S series maybe revived in a slider (2 way?) form factor.
As fro optical zoom in a Z800 sucessor, if it is to keep the rotating camera design, optical zoom doesnt seem very likely to me.

I dont think that they will make a clamshell nor a slider phone with optical zoom until the technology allows it, the opitical zoom takes up to much space.

optical zooms do not take up that much space at all, take for example the sont t3/t33/t5/t7 cameras

@all. The Sharp 903 has optical zoom in a wicked cam so if Sharp can manage it I don't see why SE can't. :-)
