I played around with these codes in the first page with my Nokia 8250:
Enhance Full Rate
Activate EFR - *3370#
Deactivate EFR - #3370#
Half Full Rate
Activate HFR - *4720#
Deactivate HFR - #4270#
now there's no feedback 'beep' when navigating the menus, even when using the 'General' or 'Outdoor' profile.
yet more infuriating, when i make a call, i dont hear the other line ringing, but the call does go through and when the other party picks up, we can talk like normal
i know the speakers work, because it still makes that rather loud beep when an sms comes in 
I understand that both these codes are supposed to restart the phone, but it only does so when i activate/deactivate EFR. it doesnt do anything when i enter the HFR codes, so i guess it can be assumed that they dont work with the 8250? anyone reckons getting the firmware reflashed will take out whatever damage i did by entering the codes? |
