If you want it and you think the price is reasonable i think you should..
I am not sure of your point/question though..

Though if it is brand new, bear in mind it's probably been sat at the back of a store room for at least 2-3 years, the battery could be faulty, but if you're buying it brand new, you can take it back to the shop for a refund or replacement faulty part free of charge hopefully!

The battery could well be fine, I've not used a T68 battery for over a year before and it's still worked and retained charge. See if you can try the phone out there and then in the shop, see if it will turn on, batt will charge etc. You can get batteries off Ebay, though many would be either fake or non-genuine. Either that, or see if anyone here has one spare they could sell/send you

I donīt think the battery will cause any trouble. The new (as in unused) batteries i have found here in Sweden are generally manufactured during the time the device was currently in production, and more often than not work brilliantly.
Seems to me that itīs usage and not age per se that kills batteries.
In any case i donīt think you will have problems selling it on, should you regret buying it.

How much is it? The battery should be fine as long as it was never used, lithium polymer have a massive shelf life

to tell the truth, the fw version do effect the batt life aswell. so if u want original /// fw, go for r2d or in case of t68i go for r8a

Probably because loads of T68īs were manufactured in Malaysia, and the made in Sweden ones are considered slightly better.
