Which earphone is the best? |

Hi all,
Which is the best earphone to use for a S-E K750 apart from the supplied ones?
I am ruling out the "inside-ear" earphones like the Shure E3c because they simply block all the external sound, and that can be quite a safety hazard (absent minded that I am while walking on the streets....) So please don;t suggest in-ear models. Also iPod earphones are too expensive.
I'm currently looking at some of the "better" Phillips models and the Sony "Twin-Turbo" low-end models. Any suggestions? Non-standard and specialization brands are not available in my city too (
Also, what's the power consumption of a pair of headphones like? How fast will it drain my battery compared to a earphone?

I use a Panasonic RP-HS41. they are soft. the sound is neat and as nice bass the only thing thats a bit bad is that the clips are a bit loose when wearing them and a little pull can mess it up a little. obviosly I've used a Sony one wich was smaller and felt more confortable and secure. hope it helps, cheers

I like me the in ear SE ones, outside of the minor safety hazard i think they are great, its like your very own sound proof room |

I would have recommended the red philips ones too (they're actually maroon in colour) since I'm using them myself and they sound really good. The earbuds don't really seal out the outside noise though. The Koss "The Plugs" are pretty good in that aspect and relatively cheap. But for earphones that aren't in-ear, I still think the Sennheiser MX-series are value for money.

The Sennheier PX-100/200 series are very good for mobile devices, and their sound is excellent, on par with (or some say better than) Koss' Porta Pro set. But if you're looking for earbuds, might as well stick with the kit ones while saving up for some Shure or Etymotic plugs |
