Hello everone. I'm really not new, I just don't remember my old login. I've been part of esato since the golden days of the T68 and T616. Then I needed a phone that just worked for a while so I went with the Nokia 6230. But now I need a replacement and am thinking about going back to SE. The Nokia was awesome by definition of all it's features but it just had no soul like my SE phones did.

Finding the perfect phone was always hard though. I want another phone like the T616, not overly expensive but definately high end in its time. At the very least I bluetooth, speakerphone, expansion slot, and a decent camera. Not really looking for super extras like Walkman capabilities, Wi-fi, 3mp camera. My price range I guess would be $200 to $350 at the most.

Another thing, I don't want the best of before, but rather the slightly less best of now. The T616 was only one step behind the P series. Yes it was a PDA but I'm trying to describe what kind of phone and features I don't need. For those who are familiar with computers, I want the Radeon 9600 because its good and still up to date, not the slightly 'better' 9700 with older technology. I know it's kind of tough, but I'm sure some of you know what I'm talking about.

Help me out guys! I'm really excited to be part of this community again. I remember a long time ago after countless nights of tweaking the board finally figured out the ins and outs of using the USB cable for the T68. Somebody said "there's really no breed of enthusiasts quite like the one here on this board" and after being away for so long I think it's true, there's no forum that I've found that can match this one. I know you guys won't let me down.

a "decent" camera these days, by standards, would be a K750. If that's still too expensive where you live, and if you have t-mobile, you can settle for a D750 and just reflash it for 7US$ via davinci

Get a V800/Z800.

Awesome toy; 1.3 Mp, MP3, MSPD slot, 3G, BT, heaps of free themes available, award winning in 2005 and currently selling cheap on runout in some markets.

Remember, it's yet to be replaced by

Only downsides: no radio, MSPD won't fit in future M2 eqiupped devices.

Please dont take this the wrong way but I realy do not understand your post,

You rave about phones and how much "soul" they have so you go and buy a Nokia because you wanted a phone :that just worked for a while" I have had plenty of phones and they all worked fine and still do 5 years down the line!

Now your asking us to tell you what is the best second rate phone to buy? simple answer mate dont make second rate old technology phones! do yourself a favour if you really must have "rather the slightly less best of now" the answer is simple. Go buy another Nokia It will allmost certainly be a perfect fit for your needs

Ya I don't think you understand either.
Everybody else seemed to. I don't know what's so hard to imagine that I switched over to Nokia. I was just aiming for more practicallity, I'm sure you can see that some moms would be better suited with a Nokia over a SE because they don't need the best and at the time I didn't either. I mean we all know that SE phones have their little quirks, and I just couldn't deal with mine anymore. My T616 surely didn't have the best battery life, reception was less than stellar, and didn't always perform. Yes I can drive a Honda Civic that just works but I like my sometimes inconvenient BMW more. And if you don't understand that SE phones just seem to have a soul over other brand phones then I have no idea what you're doing in this forum (=
I know that SE phones work great for years but mine broke. Trust me I wish I could use my T616 right now.

After I created this thread I did some searching and think the K750 is what I'm looking for. They fit right into my budget on ebay. But what would you guys normally pay for a new in box K750?

I certainly do understand that phones have "soul" thats why I stopped using inferior phones years ago! as for the rest I am clearly too stupid to understand why anyone would want anything other than the best they can afford!
I have owned the ... T68i T610, P800, P900, P910, P990, W950, P1, W960 But SE have now totally lost the plot.

wheres the SE clamshell "soul" maybe its left,or only dealing with low end phones at se?

a phone is a phone, its not a team of some sort that you support no matter what. yeah i love SE phones, but thats not mutally exclusive. IMO i think the w800/w810/k750 lack any style
t68/all the clamshells have been fantastic *theres the soul of se if you ask me*
but not all nokia phones lack "soul" the trusted 6100 nokia still serves me.

k750 brand new? depends where you are. i think in the uk you can get the w810 free on £20 contract so i would think the k750 about £90 on fleabay

You're absolutely right and that's why I'm making the switch back. I also trust your guys' opinion so if most say that the K750 fits what I want then I'll buy it since it seems to be the best that falls into my budget as well.

Thanks for the link! I tried it but unfortunately I can't remember my username and I'm not about to look through all of them until I see a familiar name (=

I'm in the US and looking for an unlocked phone brand new. Ebay the average seems to be $300-350, some around $280. Just wondering how much I should be looking to pay for it.
