Dunno whether someone has discovered it, but it's simply great - I'm loving it!

Actually I discovered this "trick" last night when I'd shot a video with lots of background noise from cars etc, and did what i've mentioned below. I didn't realise that the video was 320*240 untill I transferred to my PC.
When I saw it on PC, hte video size was rather big complared to standard size, and I checked if my player resized the video aspect to 200% - but it was showing 100% - and then I realised - it was 320 * 240!!

So guys & gals, here goes the trick (Not sure if it works in all models, mine is R1BC002, India, Unlocked on Airtel)

1. Shoot any, any video.
2. Edit it using VideoDJ
3. In the videoDj app, select the video, choose "Edit"
4. From the Edit menu, choose "Trim"
5. Now the most important step :
a. Let the movie play for a second or two, and then select "SET >> Start"
b. Just about 5 seconds before the end of the clip, again select "SET >> End"
c. Select "Done"

This is very important - if you do not select "SET >> End" and "Done", the video won't be resized.

6. The video will be trimmed, and now if you want, you may add a soundtrack, or if you want the original track, you may leave it as is.
7. Select the right softkey "More" >> "save"
8. The movie is saved as VideoDJ(XX).
9. Transfer to your PC and play it - it'll play in 320*240.

10. Thank me!!!

EDIT: OH MY GOD!!!!!

its still the same... i really cant figure out something here... a K750 cant play 320 resolutions... so how can it even save one... can you elaborate your theory regarding this....

very much appreciated...

what did i miss??? i followed all the steps and basically my vid is still the same...

have you played other videos prior to the vids you have recorded that might trigger the screen to boom at 320.

how about the quality?

since the video was TAKEN @ 176x144, i doubt quality will remain the same after it changes to 320x240. so fundamentally, you get 176x144 video then resized to 320x240?

There is slight degradation in quality, as basically the video is resized to QVGA size by editing it in-phone.

[EDIT] : I was using mpegable player to play the video till now, but just noticed that while playing the file on Quicktime player, no difference is noticed, the video plays at 176x144 {why?}

[EDIT2] : SIGH! It was all a misleading event. I got so excited at the first instance that I didnt think of playing it on quicktime to crosscheck.
Rocky and others, here's the theory - Editing a video on the VDJ most probably enlarges the pixels, making the video look larger. Only some players like MpegAble player played this video with enlarged pixels, making it look double size.
Playing it with quicktime produced no difference in the result. Here I have posted the files recorded by me, those who have MpegAble player can check it out

i edited the same video as u said.... and it's THE SAME SH** !!!

the computer enlarges the video so you can see something... in the real size, you cand view the video on the phone and still doesn't use all de displey because the display has 174*220 and the video has 174*144
