Hey all,
I'll be having a couple of Original OEM Black 8800 Fascia's. I was going to replace the housings on the 8800's, one for myself and one to throw on ebay. Since black ones go for 700-850 (depending on your luck)
I just wanted to see how much I'd get for one of the fascias.
It doesn't mean I'll sell it, but if I was, how much would you offer?
edit:
it's now on ebay

I'm pretty sure I can get above 160 for them. Cnn.cn was a rare find at such a price. I even called him up in China and asked him when he'd get more and he said probably never.
I also emailed some other sites to ask and they reply with "it's impossible to get a black fascia"
Any offers people?

Not to throw a damper on your asking price, but the official Black 8800 is now available at Carphone Warehouse.

I just want to point out a few things.
1. Even if it IS available at CPW, why mention it. It's obvious it might affect a sale. (which I hope doesn't)
2. Whether you intended to or not, don't you think the comment affects the sale?
3. couldn't I have received a pm (although i do know it's available at the cpw.
4. if you go to the CPW website you will see that they are out of stock.
5. at Orange's tarrifs it comes to (and this is just an average) 350 pounds for the phone and at a 40 pounds monthly tarriff. So for those who'd rather get a cheap alternative they can get an original fascia and replace it themselves.
edit: it'll be on ebay

i'd suggest actually doing it at a Nokia service center. if you own a 8800 in the first place you get premium service.
I've been offered 125 by merc.
If I throw this on ebay could people bid what they offer here?
I'm trying to build a rep on ebay and it would help?

here's some pics
it's the FULL fascia with casing.
It's not just the metal bits, so it's fully loaded.

I see you paid £1 for it judging by the reciept next to it! LOL
Would CPW repair centre change the cover for you? Doesnt that invalidate the warrenty?

It shouldn't invalidate the warranty because changing the fascia is as simple as unscrewing 6 screws and sliding each part out.
If a Nokia or (i'd imagine CPW as well) does it, it wouldn't invalidate it because they're the people who are licensed to do so.

As far as I was concerned you were not selling it, and so I saw no harm in mentioning something that was only an in the air question.
And also asking close to 60% the original price kinda shocked me considering it was an Esato member that highlited the place of sale for it.
So that was just my two pennies you can choose to see it how you like. No harm intended...as I could have easily put another another post stating that its available.

perhaps then my post was misunderstood.
I meant I might be selling it, and it does not necessarily mean that I will sell it at the end of the day.

thanks fatreg.
Actually the vibrator is in the actually body, it's tiny and the reason it's VERY usefull, is because you can't RE-USE the old vibrator once it's removed.
