I am planning to get a walkman phone as stated above and everybody knows these phones are very similar in terms of technical but some little adjustments if you compared the specs. (built-in memory, edge is not a big deal)
For those who owned these phones, pls. gimme feedback of what you like and dislikes of each phone.
Thanks in advance. |

w810i has a better video capture framerate
w810i has better looks (but that's personal)
w810i will be replacing the w800i in time..
but still has a few glitches which could be fixed in a next firmware
w800i has a better battery life
w800i is cheaper |

W800 will be replaced by two phones: W700 (slight downgrade, the more direct successor) and W810 (upgrade).
W800 has its two advantages (in feature): standby clock and camera lens cover. But it also has a potential Walkman hissing noise problem that SE confirms it will never fix.
Get a W810.

W810 as it does not have a joystick so this means no joystick problems!!! |

just cos it has a joystick, doesn't mean it will have problems. i personally love having a joystick on a phone, and SE should never give that up. i'd go for the w810, basically its an updated w800 with a few more features, and i think it looks better, more 'walkman' like i think.

Are you sure about the better video capture? I was going to put of getting one for a d600 purley because i thought the video was crap like on the w800 which i used to have. How much better it it? Could you send me a sample please? my email address is bthethy1@hotmail.com
Or could anyone please send me a shot video clip from the w810 to test againstthe w800
The whitepaper says 10fps which sounds rubbish. Does anyone know how many fps the w800 was ? Ive seen one video but in cant tell jack form it as the lamp is flashing every 2 seconds!!!!

Thanks to all who replied and gave their own reason/opinion for each phone.
I would like to know more about any bugs(W810i) surely it has . W810 is a plus because of it's look and no joystick and it's new in the market. |

There's already one confirmed W810 over the Software section, the photolight bug. |

W810 has standby clock as well. The lense cover in W810 is no longer necessary since it's deep enough for it to acquire any scratches and capture dust.

But does the standby clock work the same way as K750/W800/W550, which appear even without pressing the volume buttons?
Sorry if I'm mistaken. I based that from the W810 paper I downloaded from SE website, which has a feature comparison vs W800.
Even though W810's lens are located deep enough within the casing, it is still prone to accumulate dust. K700's camera lens is the same, but the one I'm using now has dirt/dust that seem to accumulate around the lens cover, especially on the surrounding rubber thing around it.
