I just dropped my T630 and the screen just started to act funny. It now stays in a limbo of being a silvery grayish black. It can breifly be all white when I shut the phone down. Everything else in the phone works ok. Does this mean I'll be visiting a service center very soon?

Quite possibly, it could be that the ribbon that connects the screen to the phone's pcb has been jolted out a bit, and might just need removing and re-inserting. You just need a T6 screwdriver to do this if you feel brave enough to take your phone apart, if not then take it to your nearest service centre to be sorted out.

Ok. Brave I am, the problem will be the screwdriver.

You can get them off Ebay, they're very cheap too only a couple of pounds (or equivalent).

How do I take the phone a part? I'm having a little trouble. How many screws are there, I've taken out two.

Now I'm really fine. I still can't open the darn thing, I might as well try opening a swiss vault. The reason I'm happy is I just cracked the camer's lens trying everywhere to get the back off. Bedtime I guess.

There should be a couple of screws underneath the aerial. You need to carefully prise the antenna off then unscrew the two screws underneath it, then carefully separate the front facia from the rest of the phone.

I've opened my T630 a couple of times. the screws are four: two at the bottom, than taking of the top plastic you see the other two. I can unscrew them at an 80º angle if you get what I mean, without having to take of the antenna. than with something like your nail, pass it through the sides and the front cover comes off, leaving the screen unveiled ! I usually open it to take out some dust. hope it helps, cheers.

So there are clips? Like push them down and slide back and that's it, or push and get your pet elephant to pull?

Never mind its off, its off, off it is, its hard to type while bouncing off the wall

Now the antenna Help?

Yep, the one where the screen actually connects to the phone's motherboard itself.

There should be a little metal thing that lifts up (do this carefully with your fingernail) so you can slide the screen connector out. Just make sure it's put back in fully, and push the metal thing (sorry, can't think of the right terminology!) back down again.
