It will be Three branded and locked. The only generic phones cpw supply are for O2 and Vodafone.

I dunno about being generic for just Voda and O2, as I have bought PAYG sim-free phones with both T-Mobile and Orange simcard options ( Panasonic VS6 and Sagem myX6-2) from CPW.
CPW staff in Barking, Essex today mentioned that, with the exception of a few stock items and 3 network PAYG phones (as JC's already mentioned), they are usually all sim-free.
Both the handsets I mentioned had all the main UK network WAP settings etc. pre-installed, just had to select which PAYG sim I selected and that was it. Only some CPW start-up/shut-down stuff, a few wallpapers etc. on these 'generic' handsets.
So no luck with 3 handsets at all in this regard, I'm afraid...

I got my W810i upgrade on Vodafone yesterday from CPW. Unfortunately the phone was Vodafone branded. When I rang customer service. They told me i have to stick with it cause they haven't got any unbranded one at the moment. I hate it so much so decide to sell it on! |

Not sure about CPW's contract phones as opposed to this thread's CPW PAYG focus, although I always understood that O2 contract phones, whether from CPW or elsewhere, were the only ones that escaped network locking (but not necessarily escaping minor O2 branding)...or am I wrong? |

jcwhite. your wrong. cpw supply mostly sim free handsets. not only for cpw and voda, but for tmob and orange as well...they do sell the network branded handsets, but generally, it's sim free model's. i ran the store in bolton deansgate, and all our stock was sim free. |
