Hi, I need desperate help with using the data cable, i've been sweating and kicking everything with frustration because i can't seem to get this data cable thing working. I have an 11 pin cable lookling like this.

It is a t68 cable. I've downloaded the software i think from sony ericcson. The mobile phone monitor and my pictures software. The thing is. The cable won't recognize my phone. Theres no activity whatsoever. Its a COM port cable. If theres anything that i missed or might considering doing and anyone knows, can they please help me out. Thanks a lot. Also, is there anything to do with the software i have on my phone? One other thing. when i plug the cable in my phone, nothing happens.. should it? like.. when i plug in my chat board, the screen lights up and says chatboard. anyways. if anyone can help that would be awesome. thanks | |

Nothing ever happens when I plug my cable into my T68 either, just give it a bit of time, or try restarting with it all hooked up, can't understand why you're having so much trouble |

I've set-upped my Windows XP with the XTNDConnect from SE plus I'm using both MyPictures from SE and ThemeCreator Pro from Ericssony.
When you attach the phone to the cable, NOTHING USUALLY WILL HAPPEN. But that doesn't mean the cable ain't working. You can set XTNDConnect to automatically synchronize your phone to Outlook if you want to know it's working all the time.
I use Mypictures to upload stuff to my phone, and I usually initiate the connection to my phone, if you wait for something to happen, then you'll be waiting forever. Nothing is probably wrong with your cable and phone, why not try looking at the operator for the problem
