well, as per SE they say that they have the same battery life.. if you are talking about 3G.. well will it suck even if you dont use 3G?? |

edge is basically a faster internet speed i think.
and
the k790 i think will be out around june...
maybe i'm wrong though.

EDGE (Enhanced Data rate for GSM Evolution) is a specification for data transfer on GSM networks.
EDGE packs up to 69.2Kbps into eight timeslots, for a total theoretical bandwidth of 473.6Kb.
3g networks function within the range of 144 kbit/s to over 3 Mbit/s making it several times faster than EDGE.

the problem i have with the k800, is that i won't use the video calling (front lens) at all. so thats more maintaining for something i'll never use.

EDGE has a higher higher data speed than GPRS. 3G has a higher dta speed then EDGE and also has the option of video calls.
It depend on where you are as to which is better as here in the UK only Orange supports EDGE so 3G is genarelly better but some countries dont have 3G but do have EDGE.

I would say that in the UK it is better the have the K800i. I think in the US EDGE is more widespread so the K790i would be better, but I am not 100% sure.

unless you're in a country that hasn't got the 3g service, so it's cheaper to get a K790 and the better option for me.
