Hi! Tried searching for this topic but couldn't find it.

Does anyone know if there's a way to jump to a certain time in a video that you play back in the media player of the w900i?

For example if i'm watching a very long video (like full length dvds encoded into mp4) and somewhere in the middle i get interrupted or i decide to stop it and resume it some other time is there a way to jump to a certain part of the video without having to resort to minimizing the media player and resuming it again or using the manual fast forward which would be very tedious if the video is very long.

Also, is there a way to fast forward thru a video when it is in full screen mode?

Would appreciate any help as the video playback on the w900i is very very nice i would just like to learn if there are ways to truly maximize it's capabilities as a video player. Thanks in advance!

Ive also asked this question in regards to the w800. Some people on here seem to think that the joystick can be used aa ffoward or rewing button. Yes i can for nusic but not for videos. The best thing to do is to get hold of 2 programs. dvd2mobile and mpegable. Use dvdtmobile to rip from the dvd in 15min segments. (Its can convert to mp4/3gp for you but its meant for the p990 fo i just take the raw mpeg and do it myself in mpegable and voila. You have a full length film or whatever in 15mins chunks so you doint have to worry about having to see it righy from the start.

Mpegable can be found at www.k750i.net

I have dvd2mobile if you want it. And anyone else for that matter. The only bad thing is that because its such hight quality an hour episode can take up to 150Mb. So if you have a good sized memory card then its ok.

thanks! after i posted my question i did realize that i could split the very long video into chunks. although its not really that practical at least it beats having to look for a way to fast forward . i actually use psp video express to convert video files into mp4.

You CAN use the joystick to fast forward/rewind videos but you have to open the video while in the Walkman player.
