Sony 2GB memory pro duo |

I have recently got this 2GB for my W800i. I formatted the card before uploading Mp3s to it. I was down to about 150M available storage yestersay and then when i plugged in the USB cable to my laptop this morning, I now have 800M. Which means some of the MP3s were gone.
I kind of remember someone here mentioned the same problem with his/her memory pro duo.
I reformatted the card again via W800i and uploaded all my songs for the second time.
Does anyone here experience similiar problem? Is this is known bug with Sony 2BG or W800i is choking on the 2GB card? I would provide the firmware except I do not know how to find it.
Please advise.

to find the firmeware and any other mobile info simply be in standby mode and type in "right * left left * left *" Then Service info and then Software info and your firmware is the top code like R1BC002.
Your 2GB card is probablly due to firmware bugs. Update to the phone using the SE update software. I own a Sony Memorystick Due Pro 2GB and it works prefectly. NOTE: Never format your card usuing windows as the folder structure messes up. |

Deactivate your left and right shortcuts temporarily. Go to settings/Shortcuts and click the more button to deactive.
Then go to your standby and press right, star, left, left, star, left, star |

Yeah I use to have that firmware, the new one that has all the fixes is R1BC002.
No updating is totally safe and isn't like unlocking the phone or cracking it etc it is a process of simply updating your phone to make it better, like the way you update your PC.

to update make sure you have all drivers installed correctly.
Once software installs to update simply do this.
1)Start update software
2)it will ask you to choose country etc
3)chose connection type
4)hold down C on your fone and connect your USB cable in the phone while holding C
5) Release the C button ONLY once the software tells you to and your phone switches on
Note: If it doesn't work the first time that means your PC detected the flash files needed to update so dont worry, just repeat the process. |

Btw, you dont have to remove your shortcuts when checking your firmware... just follow the same procedure (even if the calendar and all that show up) |

Yes, update to R1BC002, this fixes almost all the problems with the W800i/K750, like slow loading speed, crashing, low sound noise and also improves some of the images used within the mobile and shows an egg timer when loading.. |

@adamon
Theres nothing to be afraid of lol
updating isn't the same as upgrading or flashing to different phones. You are mirely getting rid of the previous firmware, and replacing it with a garanteed better and more improved firmware.
I've had the new firmware on my K750 and nothing has happened with it, it works even better and is better than the old buggy firmware versions.
There are some forum posts on the latest firmwares, and you will see that every1 who has updated to it, are impressed and satisfied. |
