Nope, that doesn't work. On the final * the screen just reverts back to the desktop again.
I looked at the phone info on PhoneAgent though and it says the software is R4CF00 F002
Is this the latest one? How do you do a software update over the air?

Yes, I do know the button isn't a joystick, thanks!
Using the navi-keys and the star key, having disabled the left and right navi keys still doesn't bring up a service menu with that formula.
Maybe it's blocked on Orange or something... |

i also have the led flashing prob and also when i change my theme the shortcuts are all reset to default
and sinds 4 days ago i got a new prob a very big one
i got the W(hite) S(creen) O(f) D(ead

i'm a little bit disapointed that a brand new phone has so meny issiues

I notice that the SE software Update Service isn't available on my Orange W810i.
Orange must have disabled it, which is typical for them.
Would I have to go in somewhere and get it upgraded then, when the time comes? |

Argh, I notice today that when listening to music through the supplied earphones and a call comes in, you don't hear the ringtone through the earphones. The music just stops and that's the only clue that the phone is ringing (if it's in your pocket or whatever!).
My K700i would play the ringer through the earphones, which was very handy but the W810i doesn't do this, unless there's some option I'm missing?
Also, the Walkman sound is very quiet... |

that's SE for you - lots of secret shortcuts and whatnot.  def not as explicit as nokia. it's actually a wonder that they've now put a tips/tricks demo on the phone itself.

I keep on hearing that "a new FW will be released" with/before the official US release...when is that? I'd be willing to test out new FW 
My dropped call issue is ranging from 30 secs to 5 minutes....crazy!
Still love the phone though!!!

I'm on Firware version R4CF002 and I don't have the flashing LED problem.
Is this the latest FW version?
How often do FW updates come out? I'm hoping the next one will make the music volume liuder, as it's too quiet for me. |

the camera flash thing dosen't bother me. it is affecting my phone too. But just take a pic before 10 seconds then lol.
maybe the camera is flashing since its trying to send out some sort of coded sos signal while taking a picture.
lol..
Cuz when you go to sos on your phone it gives a flashing sos signal which is pretty cool i think lol
