One interesting thing to note is that the W810 has bluetooth 2.0 - yet no mention of A2DP. Does this tell us that the actual bluetooth module in the phone is different from that of the K750/W800 (which had 1.2) - and that a firmware update may/may not give it the necessary A2D profile, with given the right amount of pushing? I mean, why would even bother to upgrade it to BT 2.0 only for the sole purpose of upgrading it (better compatibility with newer phones with BT 2.0 an A2DP? an iffy proposition, imo), if the W810 was posed as a minor upgrade to the W800 in the first place?

The L.E.D problem is the light starts to flash on some w810i's after about 10 seconds.

problems with my two day old w810:

battery cover has got completely jammed on after the first time i fitted it.
as a mobile phone repair technician i strip and rebuild phones all day every day and can say for sure that this is jammed on.

mp3 player is occasionally becomming stuck. it sounds like a scratched cd and freezes up. playing the same track a few minutes later proves the file is not corrupted.

sleep mode clock, i am dissapointed that it is not displayed all the time as i am accustomed to. but i have finally learned that you must push the volume keys to display the time.

also i changed my theme then rebooted the phone and my shortcuts got reset to default.

apart from these things i love this phone to pieces.

i used k750i then w800 then w550 and now w810.

the thing i liked about w550 over this is the stereo sound from phone loud speakers. i was really dissapointed that this was missing from my new w810.

How can I check to see which version of software I have on my W810i? The little joystick/star sequence that I used on my K700i doesn't seem to work on the W810i.

so no reported dropped calls in EMEA??? It's strange that the US networks would have issues, this pretty much rules out a hardware issue...

Nope, that doesn't work. On the final * the screen just reverts back to the desktop again.

I looked at the phone info on PhoneAgent though and it says the software is R4CF00 F002

Is this the latest one? How do you do a software update over the air?
