Just a warning to others, this -should- work, but doesnt. Why SE forces us to use the bulky HPM-80 radio dongle is beyond me.
Don't waste your money like I did.
If anyone has a work around or an alternative to the HPM-80, please let me know.
Thanks. |

That's a rort!
Are you absolutely sure of this? Meaning you plugged it in and tried to play some music and it didn't play through the speakers of the headset? What happened - nothing, it played but cmae out the handset speaker, or what?

It works barely, the volume is almost silent, and the sound is unlistenable.
Tried the same dongle on my friends W800, works fine, so ruled out a faulty HPM-70, it's clearly the handset.
Probably a pinout difference between the 800 and 900, if you look at the DC-60 USB cable, you'll notice it only has 3 pins on the pack-in w900 cable, vs. all the pins on the OEM model. For that same reason you can brick your phone if you use the OEM cable to upgrade firmware vs. the one that shipped with your phone.
GG SE..

When my HPM-80 broke, I could use a HPM-70 without problem, your situation seams strange, try to clean the fastportconnectors somehow |

that makes more sense. I didn't think it sounded right. SE claim hpm-70 is compatible with W900.
