well i just got myself the w550i yesterday!  ...i've had a play and must say i really like it!!....result? i was pleased with myself for having bought a nice phone!....i was eagerly waiting to show my son my new fancy phone which i thought was cute and quite small!!......huh!! son came home took one look at phone and promptly said how bloody ugly it was!!  so to all you esato fans....am i right or is he???

I wasnt raving about the looks when i first saw it, but it eventually grew on me a month through using the phone (yes, i did get it for myself  ..and changed to a blue fascia)
i doubt the W700's titanium would tho. then again, i neither liked the w800 |

as they say, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." and the three stereo speaker grilles are a beauty indeed! thing is though, at least it's not one of the cookie-cutter candybar phones SE keeps releasing. you can also have a custom-made faceplate for your w550/w600. sniff around SE's official website. i forget where they have it on there. about $25 a pop. you can even have your own photos on it. i'm sure if you put your son's picture on your faceplate he won't dare call it ugly anymore.=p

i used to hate its looks; i even scorned about how ugly it's design was. but seeing the phone continuously made me change my mind. it looks good to me now

It is certainly one of the ugliest phone launched by any mobile company.And the keypad looks like a Nokia 2100.And When it comes to sound in my opinio the quality is even poorer than my k750i

I don't think that the W550 looked that bad. There have been worse although the orange does look kinda to orage if you know what I mean. I bet that it would have been more successful if it were a slider and it didn't have that antenna (I don't mind it, the majority of the public do )

Well IMO, The phone is very cute ( Acc.to Webster- Ugly But Tolerable)..lol
Size is + , However the Area around which the screen ( Front Plate) is too plasticky...somewhat like the fake chinese housings you get...!
That also applies to W 800 too....However the sturdiness and grip is + also..!
Feature wise Its great and serves the purpose well..However It could have been designed better...!

But most important is what you think because it is your phone And you said that you were pleased with yourself for having bought a nice phone. So you made the right decision then!

I think that the w550 is a nice phone. I would have bought one instead of my w800i if it had a MSDP slot. |

well thanks all!! as long as more than 5 other people thinks its ok besides me i'm happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .......at least its not a boring samsung! my son use to only buy nokia's now he only buy's samsung!! ..give me se anytime!!
