sound reduced in w550 after flashing |

hi guys.. i was very happy with my w550i until recently it suffered a WSOD.[for first time readers it means my w550i crashed and was left only with a white screen and wasn't responding to anything at all]. my biggest mistake was to purchase it without warranty so as to save some 2000 rupees.. now i took it to the dealer and he very coolly told me to spend 800 rupees for a new software flash.. i agreed and got my cell bak.. to my horror my model changed to w550c. after checkin i got that the chinese firmware was loaded upon asking the guy said the international firmware was crashing on it over n over again.. all was fine and done till i finally used my now w550c for it's real work.. music thru it's blastin speakers!!
to my horror!! it just sounded like sound from a k750/w800 speaker.. the beats were still loud as they should be but the voice of the song had reduced.. it was like the speakers before used to blast the voice thru dem but not now.. only the beats blast and the voice seems like very suppressed..
i tried the mp's too which i had before re flashing in case of the bitrate problem but invain. so now the biggest charm for my w550i has gone as the reproduction of the sound isn't phenomenal any more..
any help or suggestions guys.? i'm ready to do anything to get it's real speaker performance bak..
plzz help me.. is it because of the firm ware change or some other bug??!! |

reflash it yourself. if youre comfortable installing software on your pc it shouldnt be too difficult. www.davinciteam.com

same exact thing that happened to me. i had the chinese firmware before getting the screen of death and had to have it reflashed at a dealer because my computer won't even recognize my phone when i connect it. he flashed it with the euro_1 firmware and the loudspeaker volume was significantly reduced. so i went back and asked him to reflash it to the chinese firmware. he did it for free, actually. either spend the $12 on davinci to reflash it yourself or insist that he reflash it to the original firmware. do you know from which region you had it before getting the screen of death?

I'D got my cell from india and have the R4AB048. IT WAS w550i before now has become w550c with same AB048. WHERE can i get the latest firmware. also how to purchase credits as i'm from india. and when you got the crash you had chinese firmware and you got a free reflash for the same version again? |
