1-Mobile Office-complete web access including pop3; has a web gateway
2-Net on phone-complete web access but no pop3;wap gateway
3-airtel live-limited to airtel's own portal

You forgot to mention about FTP. It's also blocked in wap gateway of Airtel.

Here in mumbai, its simple.Airtel live is free, only airtel site and yahoo. Then the gprs is Rs.12 per day.U can do anything, web or wap. This is for prepaid. For postpaid: pc gprs Rs.400 per month,u get some mb free, rest charged. Then there's net on phone for wap:Rs.25 per month.25 paise per 10kb. Earlier rates were better.Rs.6 per day for unlimited gprs on pc or phone. One good thing is that now also they charge on per day basis not per month,so u can activate for only 1 day also

But here in karnataka, they activate MO on postpaid connections only. Charges are Rs.600/- pm for unlimited.
