Airtel India also blocking some sites? |

Fed up of Orange's blocking of popular sites,I switched to Airtel.But sometimes the "Access Denied..." message appears while trying to access some sites.Airtel is much better than Orange, but a lot higher priced too.So they get their due.Thankfully the sites are not too major, but I hope Airtel's not heading towards becoming another Orange. . . To which sites have any of you(Airtel users) been "denied access"?I got that message while trying to download FULL songs on wap.moi-alizee.ru and a few more....

I'm using Mobile Office and I'm on postpaid, but you could go to the site I mentioned and verify- I'll be calling the customer service- but I'm not too optimistic about that.

what is the size of the song?
if it is more than 300kb you need to switch to html mode and then download.. because of the 300kb limit on the wap mode

I think you are right. I always download mp3's which are more than 5MB using hacked Airtel Live connection. I don't have any problems. |

Ive been using Airtel Mobile office for over a year now..and can confirm that ive faced no such restriction issues whatsoever...i still pay a flat 199/- a month for unlimited web access..i guess Airtel let the older postpaid customers continue at the same package..

I do have the html mode on. I was concerned because the message isn't "Communication Error" it's "Access Denied".

They are blocking the opera server - sly animals - they know opera compresses the images and reduces the amount of data transferred !!
I can access almost every site through the default html browser, but not through opera mini...everytime I try to connect thru opera, it shows "The cannection failed".

I ve just started using Airtel's Mobile Office (not by switching from BPL to Airtel but using it as a secondary sim) & got the message Acces Denied a few times through the pc as well as the phone on sites like Megaupload. I asked the C care regarding the same & they told me that Airtel doesn't block ne site but later found out that it shares the same ip for a lot of users. I even got the messages " Ur ip 203.some thing.some thing is already downloading a file. Finish downloading this file & come back 2 download another file. If U are not downloading ne file then Ur ip is being shared. Premium Account solves this problem".
So, Neha100 (getting back at ya) may be that site U mentioned had the ip download rule. Hence the Access Denied message.

I m sujal , guj, wid nokia 6600 airtel works well, gprs is 100 % free , i had nvr paid singl paisa for using world wid net. From last 28 months. Bt it dosnt work via opera. Or i dnt know hw 2 use!? Coz when i m dwnloading mp3 tonz it openz in real1 player. Which says unable 2 play media clip. Ppl says mp3 s are dwnload via opera only. Opera seys unable 2 conect. Help me b4 i go mad.Hey, Neha did u complited all 11 levls of bounce?

@sujal. Real one does not play mp3s,u gotto have a mp3 player. And there's no such thing as only opera downloads mp3s,whoever told u that tell him he's an asshole!

I hd dawnloaded a application named sx1 in my 6600 it changd my all iconz and all lattrz. Now i wan2 delete it bt when i do it 4m application managr it says unable 2 delete app. Is open. Anybdy tell me hw 2 close it? Or formating is only way? |
