Hi guys I was wondering if you could help? Ive just got my voda-shite w900i unlocked, and i have had the orange settings for mms and wap sent to my mob. I was wondering how I activate the 3g functions and how I get the wap working? The profile that is selected is orange gprs and earlier I managed to get onto orange world but now when I try it says

"connection failure. check settings, if prob presits contact operator"

Hey for all of you on o2, refer to Scutch's thread for information on how to HOPEFULLY access the Internet. I think I have got it solved, well it's working for me and I'm hoping it will work for you. Tell me if you get it to work.

Like I posted in my thread, Nick...

Hi, thanks. Didnt work for me so I'll write down manually what I did.
Master Reset, no problems.
Go to Data Comm. then Data Accounts.
New Account
PS Data
Name > Inputted your info.
APN > Data
Username > Data
Password > Data

Save

Edit Created Account, gives a list of APN, Username, Password, Login Request, Allow Calls, IP Address, DNS Address, Authentication, Data Compression and Header Compression.

I filled these in using your details, although dont know what DNS Address is so I used the proxy address you posted. When clicking Authentication, I get None, PAP, CHAP, MS Chap and MS Chap V. The first 3 are ticked.

Once that is done I now need to set up Internet Settings (Under Data Comm.)

When I click this I get Internet Profiles which I select, then create a New Profile, called o2 WAP GPRS. Connect Using o2 WAP GPRS etc. then set it up accordingly using some of the details you posted. Am I doing this right?
If so, I went to Internet Services, and got the Google page with all the options underneath such as Sony Ericsson, Accessories, Picture Gallery etc. but no Globe in the top corner. I tried to do a Google Search for anything at all, and got the dreaded 'Connecting' > 'Connection Failure. Check Settings. etc.'

It must be my settings if yours is ok?

Thanks.

Sorted it! Thanks Nick! Top man! Well chuffed. Now to download some games!!

I did the master reset then used the settings o2 had sent me via email for the w800i. Worked a trick or treat!

Thanks again bud!
