For those users with this phone, I'm planning to get this phone. it is the same one correct? The 550i is sold in the UK while the 600i is US?
I just need to know which one has Chinese language or do both like the SE K750.
Thanks. |

The difference is that the W550 is sold in the UK and the W600 in the US. The W600 only has English and Spanish languages on it, but it has all four GSM bands, and EDGE. The W550 might have Chinease, but I dont know. I do know it only has 3 bands though, and no EDGE.

Don't you just love it when newbies answer their own questions:
"Sony Ericsson reshuffles Walkman Handsets with W550
News by Brad Kellett on Monday August 08, 2005.
Today, Sony Ericsson has announced a reshuffling to its Walkman branded handsets, aiming an existing model at a new market, and introducing a new model.
The existing Sony Ericsson W600a Walkman branded handset, aimed at the Americas, that was announced on June 13 as a tri-band/EDGE compatible device will now be branded the W600i, and will become quad-band/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) compatible. The W600i will be distributed globally, and will be available in the Americas from early Q4 2005.
To fill the tri-band void created by this move, Sony Ericsson has introduced the W550i and W550c. The W550 series handsets are identical to the existing W600i, except they will support the 900/1800/1900 MHz bands and GPRS data. The W550i will be aimed at the European, African, Middle East, Asia Pacific, and Hong Kong markets, while the W550c be destined for mainland China." --mobileburn.com
