I didn't notice much difference playing MP3 on the w800i with birate 192kbps or 128 kbps (and even 64 can't notice much difference), anyone had similar experience or my ear are already gone?

sometimes it depends on the quality of the music being compressed. some of them are just "uncompressable" because losing small parts of the music for compression might not sound close like the uncompressed one. but for me, since the phone doesn't have the hardware to play music with high bitrates differently from music with low bitrates, i use a bitrate of 80 for my phone. it sounds decent enough and doesn't seem to lose quality.

There is a definite improvement of audio quality all the way up to the K750's 192Kbps limit.

For AAC audio, 64 sounds fair (listenable), 96Kbps is good, 128Kbps is great, and 192Kbps is bloody awesome.

You must however rip from good quality sources for example if making a 96Kbps AAC, start with ATLEAST a 128KBPS MP3, or better rip from cd direct.
