Before this was just the housing, or battery cover, now they have the keypad too. Apparently its all OEM?

I thought the buttons were in different places etc compared to the W800i/D750i/K750i?

Thats what i thought too, but they look to be in the same places. The only thing is that the housing from CNN does not include a keypad, and I checked their website and they don't sell them separately. Be careful

Surely cant you fit a w810i keyboard membrain into the phone? And then flash, id imagine its work, as i believe the hardware is the same, as in the k750i/d750/w800 Correct me if im wrong

w810 screen is bigger, pcb board layout is different and hardware is quadband with edge...

once they start selling the pcb board, keypad and joystick you can swap i'm sure but it will never be a w810 like a k750 is a w800

I reckon this would be done, difficult, but could be done. Perhaps some buttons would be useless, but youd still have a W810 look-a-like.

What Im saying is if someone had all the resources and time to craft something that looked like a W810, using the W810 front then Im sure they could some up with something that worked. The back will be usable anyway.

actually i'm pretty sure the w810 is still a joystick base... i was going to open mine but haven't had time yet....it looks like the joystick is still there but wrapped around by the dpad ring.

well i think to save the trouble going through enormous changes and research to see if u could fit a w800 or k750 on a w810 housing, why not sell you present phone and buy a w810?
even if u successfully house a w800/k750 in a w810 housing, i'm not sure u'll get d features of a w810 and not even an actual look of the original w810. it would rather look like a fake w810! and i'm not sure u'll end up liking it.
my advice is, stick to you model and buy the new phone when and if u can.
