I'll def go for the virtual over the actual. The latter spoils the entire already bad design. IMHO. |

I do wish that they would allow us to customize the keypad... I prefer the old "YES" "NO" layout of Ericsson over the "OK" "CLR" layout of Sony.
And It would be nice if we could design our own virutal keys...SE's keypads are so plain. |

i love this phone but the external keypad is really ugly. my option would be to remove it and use the virtual one, but then we've got one big problem and it's that the screen is completely unprotected and exposed to scratches.
won't they sell a transparent piece to cover the screen in the pocket? |

The cool thing is that the virtual keyboard can surely be changed... At least it will look good.
I hope that will release also plastic keyboards with a different design than the actual one... |

You get a pouch with the p800 when u buy it so u can still use it without the keypad.personally though i love the look of the phone with the keypad!far better than the ugly 7650 and also a far more functionly sound design

I don't want a real keypad anymore, the future is cool, the future is here, the future is virtual keypads!!!

are there any other phones out there currently, or in the near future that have completey virtual interfaces? I don't want a keypad like Treo ot T68, I like the interface of P800 and R380 (without the flip if it was possible for this model, which is isn't but you get my point)

I'll confess that I don't like the design of P800. Too big, too odd, and not gracious. Could have been done better. I'll also say that I despise the design of 7650; mostly because it's too big, screen is too small, and too much useless volume and plastic surface.
I'm not sure I believe in all-virtual touch screen user interfaces unless they can make a screen-surface that won't get worn when in the pocket. |

I can see your point, it is boxy...I just think that a PDA/phone is ideal. I think that your not supposed to carry the p800 in your pocket, you need a belt holster...and the virtual interface is phat, to me |

@chungagoring You could always get a screen protector used for palms and trim it to fit the P800 |

Does somebody knows how the refresh rate of the camera inside the p800 is ? Is it just like the nokia 7650 or just like the MCA20 because that just sucks. I have played with the camera of the 7650 and the refresh rate is very good.
