How popular is SE? |

Well we all know that SE is the best mobile manufacturer in the world, but does everyone else in the world know that too?
How often do you guys see people use SE phones, apart from yourselves of course.
In Melbourne at the moment it seems as though the most popular 3G phone is the K608 and then its LG's U series. I only see the odd K700/K750 every now and then. But Nokia is by far the most popular and seems that everyone's just buying the Moto V3, haven't seen any other moto phone apart from that yet.

You yourself have rightly answered it. Majority is not with SE. It has a different calibered set of followers.

I love U.S.A. Advertisements rule our brains. When they advertised the MOTO RAZR, half of my school bought one. I got a cellphone at that time by MOTO as well. FAtty MPX220. 1.3 megapixel. It was great until i got my Sony Ericsson W800. Truely amazing. I like it how Sony Ericsson has high end phones, but people are not willing to pay 300 dollars and above. Not even 200. Sony Ericsson needs to find huge phone companies like Cingular and T-Mobile. I mean as in making it official. I almost bought my phone from Orange, but my dad never really checked it out and instead bought one from an asian water filler store with a cellphone store in it. It's fine, guy was lousy in my opinion, plastic box was cracked in the back, and the guy opened my box before my dad could give it to me. We paid like 30 bucks extra. $280. still great deal for me. But I wished i went with Orange. Anyways, quite rare to find one in U.S.A. If you live in U.S.A., just ask your asian cellphone store nearby, and bargin unlike my dad. |

In india, is predominantly associated with premium handsets. Most people buy nokia just because the guy next to him bought one.. but now people are getting more aware of se's offerings and is not doing badly in India. The walkman series has been hugely popular.

Here in Peru, we rarely see high-end phones. I see alot of nokias, but the OLD ones with monochrome screen and stuff. people just buy that because the price is very, very cheap and also there is alot of theft too; so people don't want expensive in case it gets stolen. So I'm just happy with my T630.

@mcrosser, except for the "stealing" part, the rest of the things are similar in india Most people (a huge majority) still use their phones for basic texting and calling. The Cdma market is also quite big here...but Se with no cdma handsets seems to have lost quite a bit of an opportunity really..

Sweden of course! , boba, i guess is popular but atleast in india, that doesn't turn into sales as people think they're "too high-end" hope this works to Se's favor one day...

Here,in Indonesia,Nokia is always the King. Yet,SE is now the 2nd position in sale just because Siemens got bankrupted. In Malang,a small town I live in,there are even 2 SE official shops. But,they don't even know that a phone can be updated via SEUS. They just sell,no after-sale service. When an SE phone is sold in the second-handed phone market, the price drops like a meteor..of very low price.. |

Yes here in south africa se is not so popular but almost everyone knows it its just that not many owns them se phones. nokia and other brands like samsung and moto. I think factors effecting se are things like price and awareness. People are not so updated with the goodies of se. Anyway buy the look of things most se users like computers or at least are don't have them. I like the way se phones support connectivity.

Yeah NZ is mainly ruled by Nokia's, followed by Motorola and some Telecom phones by Sanyo, and then SE.
But to tell you the truth, even though I see lots of k750's and w800's for sale in NZ all the time, i've never actually seen anyone use one lol, firmware problems??? Hahaha..

There is a cliche in India that nokia is the best. Whenever i recommend an se phone to my friends they start complaining that it does not have a good resale value and they were thinking of buying nokia. When i first bought my k700 my friends loved it and many kept asking me which handset it was and they had never seen it before. Many of my friends have bought the walkman series after seeing my phone. So in india se is growing.
