got two problems.

#1, somehow once every week my shortcuts are mysteriously removed and the default ones appear. so i have to add new shortcuts (the same ones) every week. it's getting tiresome.

#2, the first couple times when i opened the rubber piece to pull out the memory card, it sprung out automatically just fine. but then yesterday, the third time i opened it, the memory card did not spring out. it's stuck inside. is this normal? do i need tweezers to pull it out? i don't want to damage anything and i'm worried that something is broken. the card still works, that's the good news.

any ideas? thanks in advance.

push the card inside the phone and it will spring back when you release it. that's ok, it is the way card is fixed in the phone, it must not spring out when tqe rubber cover is opened

Heh, exactly. The Duo stick is meant to be stuck inside the phone like that. You press it to make it spring out. If it automatically pops out when you open the rubber cover then you've not inserted it correctly in the first place.

Regarding shortcuts, what firmware version do you have ? older firmware versions made the shortcuts keep returning to default after the user restarted the phone. Update your phones firmware and the problem should go away.

Ahh, thanks. Funny though because after purchasing the phone and opening the memory slot cover for the first time, the card popped out. So I just assumed that the cover kept the card inside the phone. I'm relieved to hear that it snaps into place like you decribed (just tried it and it worked fine).

Re: the shortcut problem, it's definitely not being caused by turning off the power. Also, I have firmware R1AA008. Is this not the best version?

Any other ideas what the problem might be?
