Nice move, guy!
I really wonder - what in my post have made you think of "home flashing"?...
There's a lot of rumours everywhere on this R4B. But NOBODY for now has ever seen this version!!! IMHO, the best way to prove your words is to "show" the object of discussion or, at least, official info on it.
In case of firmware the object is firmware itself, isn't it?
Correct me if I'm wrong

sure I can prove it... on monday when I'm back at work I'll take a screen dump from Emma... has not released any info on what the changes are in R4B003, but a wild guess is that it's some network specific changes since it's only available for US version. |

Hi, I just have a few questions that it seems everyone knows but me:
1) are the keys on the CE r520m backlit (if so is it the green/teal light like on the silver version)
2) how do you upgrade firmwares in the US (preferably without mailing away the phone)? I know that someone just posted about not supporting home-flashing but I don't want my phone gone for 10 days or something.

The lights on my CE R520M is green. Regarding the firmware, look in your warranty card or dig in your box for the address of the nearest authorised dealership. Or look at www.sonyericsson.com. And look for global support and go to your location. :-) Hope that helped.

For upgrading in US, check the American forum for how to get in contact with regarding firmware upgrade. If you wanna do it yourself (meaning you are taking a risk since you might end up with a non working phone) check this thread
