well, the r520 is the best phone i have had and it is the phone that introduced me to cellular connectivity and the like. Truth is, the only difference that the t68 has with the 520 is mms capability and its color screen. For a phone released in 2001(?), what more can one ask for?

had the t39 for a while but the r520m really pulled me back. i am really wishing my luck on the p800. actually!

We need more R520 users !!

@adamizer, maybe this thread should be changed to " T39 and R520 thread " since it both has the same software ??

Hello fellow T39/R520 users!

The two phones that started the 2.5 G revolution, ahhh...the beauty and grace of Ericsson/SonyEricsson technology. I've had a lot of my friends switch from NOkia, a lot of them discovered the value of money that they invested with their mobiles now, when they got Ericsson/SE.

There's more to life than replaceable covers, SMS-based service (ringtone, logo, pic msgs...bleech! so archaic...as opposed to EMS,MMS,i-melody,themes,etc. via Ir,Bluetooth,WAP)

A T39 user here. I have been using my phone for more then 1,5 year now and beside some weird things it still goes strong. I also looked at the R520 as a replacement for my T28. Unfortunately the R520 never got released officially here in Holland.
I already pre-ordered my next phone, the almighty P800.

Here is something useful : To highlight text ( eg. sms or posting on esato ), HOLD your sliding volume key down or up then use your arrow keys to move left, right, up or down to highlight the text. :-o I use this when i want to delete a large chunk of text. Much faster. Besides this, i dont know what else to use this feature for.... He anyone has other uses or tips and tricks, please tell. After all, this is a thread for us. :-o

I'm new to this forum and have a question...

I'm running R2G on my R520m and I'm going to get it updated to R4A.
Currently, I am getting very poor battery life. I have to charge the phone everynight and it only lasts ONE day!

Will the firmware flash fix the battery life problem or is there something else wrong?

Thanks in advance!

the update will not fix your phones short battery life... check so you don't have IR or Bluetooth activated, the display light should be set to "Automatic"...

If even that doesn't help, then there is something wrong with your tranceiver. Bring it to a service center I had the same problem once
