Thanks for the support, guys, I'll keep it, 'cause I really like this phone. Now I need a new one, preferably working. S700i is now 549€ with the shortcomings we know, but i've seen the price of memory stick duo Pros and they are ludicrous too. (400€ for 512MB? w00t!)

At the same time, T610s owners insist on wanting 100€ euros for them. New ones are 130€...

Anybody has a T68m lunar gray to sell?

Yes i do want your T39! But i really think you ought to try my tip to get a good looking 100% working one. As i said before, i am willing to help you locate and get a T39 or whatever phone really.. i scout Tradera daily anyway, so why not
Btw, did i mention that there´s a Ziroccan gold T68m with a "buy now" price of €11 Display broken, no battery and when started up, it immediately switches to HF profile.
BUT, it comes with a new front, keypad and antenna cover. Those parts alone is worth more than €11!
I am actually very tempted to buy it and see if it can be cured by a FW flash and som TLC, and if not, i will still have my money´s worth in parts

@bobbafett

I did the last time i got fed up, just before I gave it one last shot and spent all night learning how to pull the case of the T39m apart (dead easy, really...), and trying to make it get a consistent network signal, which I achieve by not screwing the motherboard completely in the top screws near the antenna. It worked for a month and now it won't work again... No response.

The phones wanted / for sale seems to be for Phillipines only...

@ThreeX.
Well, I've been looking at Tradera too but I can't speak a word of swedish and babelfish can't translate it. Lots of T39m, some with problems...

I can see how that Ziroccan gold T68m might help you, but i need a working phone, even if cosmetically isn't in the best shape; shame that I hate the Ziroccan gold, there's someone selling one of those in our equivalent of Tradera...

Like I said, Portugal is a nokia-centric country, and small, too. Spares won't be easy to find.

I think I've found a T68m lunar gray in portugal for 75€. A bit too expensive, even though it's in good condition, in box, with all accessories. I'll give news. I might buy it.

@ Tigas - I think the best for you is to look on eBay or any equivalent site in your country. eBay is quite secure if you buy to experienced sellers, and you can find almost everything. I have seen some non-working t39, others with broken LCD, etc...
Apple Ericsson would have been better !

T28 WORLD and... T39 again !!!

Yes, this T68m comes from our (small) equivalent of Ebay. There is no Ebay in Portugal and for example, almost nobody from Ebay.co.uk will ship internationally. Unfortunately I forgot my login to bid on the phone, so I hope nobody gets there first. I've decided I'm going to buy it. T68i firmware, but brand new T68m cover; but then why does it have the rising sun in the background?

The rising sun is just a background image. The m had the animation built in the firmware (AND the b-groundimage)

I just realized i don´t know what metal the T39 housing is made of.. kinda embarrassing We were discussing my oldtimers and a friend said "It´s a shame they don´t make phones that robust today" And i said, well i guess it would be too expensive to produce the ... the.. well, metal frame So: What metal is used in the frame? I think i read somewhere that it was magnesium.. or was that the 888? Help me someone!

Well, I think it's magnesium... It's very light, doesn't bend easily, but very grainy and steel can scratch it or cut it very easily (I bet it also breaks easily, but I'm not about to break mine just yet))
