i have a problem with the synching of my phone particularly the contacts part. for some reason, it won't sync any new entries i create on the phone and when i try to create them from outlook contacts, an error pops up "the messaging interface has returned an error." this is after trying to save a contact. before this happened, i hard reset my ppc and i was forced to recreate a new profile for my phone.

ppc users help!!!
thanks...

Just a guess but have you deleted the old profile you created in ActiveSync. It could be possible that your PC is confusing the profiles and trying to sync with the previous profile?

Have you used Outlook to sync with another phone like a P-series phone in the past?

I sync'ed my XDA 2s for the first time with Outlook it copied a load of old contacts to the phone, plus some notes and things from my P800 days!

Also, make sure that the sync process isn't set so that the computer automatically overwrites the XDA, so it doesn't overwrite or delete newer information.
