Please Help - K750i random Config error. |

This one has got me stumped.
I got a vodafone K750i for my gf the other week[ebay]. Today she calls from a pay phone saying that it done the whole white screen crash and turned off but when she turned it back on it said:
"Configuration Error. Contact your operator.....", able to accept incoming calls see the phone works but not access menu's or do anything.
I done a load of searching around and this seems to be what happens when a flashed phone isnt finalized. But why would it happen randomly? After working fine for a week it seems really weird.
So what can i do? Any suggestions? Would trying to finalize it make it worse or should i find someone who knows what they're doing? KingMobile isn't too far away from me.
Cheers

Exploit the Warranty if she still retains it. If not, visit DaVinciTeam dot com and experiment a forced firmware update on the defective phone (k750i).
Make sure you know what you are doing. There is a manual you will find on that site - read it a few times carefully before you even decide to proceed.
All the best.

Thanks for your reply. Not sure about the DaVinciTeam thing - dont you have to have a special cable to do that stuff?
Intresting thing is, got the phone with me now so can look at it, tried upgrading it through seus and its claiming that the firmware is the latest avaliable - however its R1L!
The software info lists the customization as ' 2EOW ' - not the normal CDA etc any ideas what that means?

You don't need a 'special' cable to access the contents on DaVinciTeam.com for your cell, provided, you are already equipped with DSS-25 or in your case especially, DCU-60.
I can assert what has been aforementioned since my phone went literally into coma after SEUS backed out at the last minute, leaving the progress with 1% away from finalization. The update was a failure I accepted, but could not the fact that my phone would not turn on after and battery would not charge. Imagine that.
Much thanks to DaVinciTeam.com, I was able to revive my cell with the DCU-60 cable already supplied in due time, since battery had drained drastically from lapse of time.
I have '7EOW' so wouldn't bother about it.

Might I suggest to first contact the operator like the phone also suggest to do ?! They might upgrade the firmware for you, will prevent you from buying a credit from davinci.

Thanks guys.
After replying last night i done a load of reading like you suggested and found out about the cable etc. Going to read through all the material a few more times before buying credits - read a lot of times when people have wasted credits and I dont want to do that!
Jim, Yea my gf tried that when the problem first came up. They didnt sound like much help.
Cheers guys

well it worked perfectly. waited ages for the phone to finalize - but i think its more that as i wasnt using my computer the davinci client didnt update the view. doh!
What confuses me still is what happened in the first place to make it seize up in the first place - guess i'll never know
Thanks for your help tho.

The SEUS update corrupted your file system on the phone. Btw, yw. Glad it helped.
