Hi,
I am looking forward to get a bluetooth headset for my T68mi and would like to hear some opinions/views/experience from others regarding the one from Motorola, Sony Ericcson (HBH-60/30) and the Nokia (HDW-2). Thanks for sharing!

I love my HBH-30... to be specific, I love the design... BT chipset, and functions on all Ericsson/SE headsets are almost identical.
I was initially deciding between the HBH-30 and Bluespoon, I ended up choosing the HBH-30 because I don't want to look like I'm talking to myself. The Bluespoon unit is very discreet and handy to bring around. I like it cuz it's very small and rugged.
For me, it's a matter of style and taste... they all generally do the same thing. So just pick the one YOU like best in terms of looks and price.
There's no real "BEST" BT headset... since they all cater to different purposes and price ranges. The HBH-10/15 were the very first on the market... they look pretty good, have excellent range and have dynamic menus built-in, which can be accessed via any BT enabled Ericsson/SE phone. These would be the cheapest ones on the market now...2nd hand ones can be had for around US$60 and up.
The HBH-30 and 60 are more 'hi-tech' looking than the HBH-10/15 and lack the dynamic menus and multiple device pairing (You can pair it with multiple devices, but will only FULLY function with ONE) Battery life is a bit better on the HBH-30, but range was significantly decreased.
The HBH-20 is a hybrid... it gives you the very discreet earbud setup, without the hassle of plugging in your phone everytime. Great idea actually.
Motorola/Jabra... looks like a 'borg' implant on your ear. Can't really say anything good or bad about this model... I feel it's just average in everything. I don't like the moving parts so much though.
Bluespoon... the most "Star Trek" looking of them all... nuff said. Great microphone, great speaker, great battery life... not so great price. For me, Bluespoon is THE BEST application of the tiny BT chipset. It's handy, rugged, and compact...it can be stuffed in your pocket when not in use. The only reason I didn't wait for one was because I didn't like how it looked on me, I mean, I think it's beautiful...but I didn't like the fact that I looked like I had a blue ladybug stuck to my ear. Mind you, I do NOT think that it looks bad on people... It's just not my thing.
Like I said... pick the one YOU find attractive. Happy toothing! |

yes I know that the bluespoon headsett is a very good one, tha price is around 230 € but it's worth it (9 grams). If you don't want to pay so much you need to buy the sheeper jabra BT100, its not as good as bluespoon but its one of the best!!

Bluespoon have just been tested against the other ones out there, and it won by a great margin.
Of course I´m very happy about that,..being part of the "Bluespoon-Team"
It is very good,..and yes, its expensive too....but then again, its very small, has the best battery-performance, best sound, works great also with other phones than SE,..so all in all, I believe we did a very good headset.
And the main target/focus was to do a headset that people would actually wear,..meaning : small size, good battery-performance, good sound-quality.
I think we achieved that

The question I have about these headsets is how many devices can they pair up with???
because it would save loads of time if its more than one especially for people with more than one bluetooth device (T68, LOOX, PC, Vaio).
I think the new Nokia headset pairs with 6 or 8? but the ericsson HBH-20 with one which is a pain.
What do people think about this?
Thanks,
Kyri |
