i'll be one of the first people to get the P990i when it hits the shelves. so i'm already starting the search for an 8G MSDpro
i prefere skandisk.

yeh - the 4GB comes out before the 8GB so that everyone gets one of the 4GB sticks, the 8GB ones come out - and then they realise it would be sooooooo much easier carrying around one single card - an 8GB one - so then they buy one of them. bigger profit for the card manufacturer |

Huge manufacturing costs though, hence why the dont just jump to 32GB.

the phone?
i buying the first one that hits the belgian market (here we use and azerty keyboard, so you guys will problably get it before me).
why 8G instead of 32G?
for starters a 32G card would cost as much as a small car (for not good reason, company's just want massive profit)
and the 8G is annouched (its spoken off on the SE website)
the only big thing that botters me is that in the future SE will use MSM istead of MSD

Im not sure how large and fast the MSM cards will be.
My 4GB Ultra is cool, i only use it for my psp.
Im not sure how much it is though...
8GB will not be out for a few months at least.

I'm sure there are threads on here how to double the space on sandisk cards... just do that with a 4GB one

well, some how mi did manage to m ake my 1GB high speed in to 2GB. it's possible due to some bugs...
but believe me... this make ya phone extremely slow when u powe on ya phone...
a normal 1GB in ya phone startup time need 5sec. but a buged card (1GB to 2GB) will make ya phone startup time extend to 15sec.
other that that... accessing files is damn slow. phone auto restart after media player played for 10min. camera very slow in saving pictures.
i can't stand it and i formated it... the bug just went off....
this is how i did to make it bug. however, i can't make it bug again... maybe someone can try this.
1. format ya memory stick on ya phone in computer to FAT32.
2. in the middle of the process unplug the USB cable.
3. restart the phone and format it using ya phone.
4. restart again.
