I have a new K750i with firmware R1n035 updates fail
(update program says its up to date ... I continue but nothing was changed ...)

My guess? -Wrong country ? NL/BE ?????
-Different connector ( 1 symetrical piece no holes)
-install procedure USB FLASH bad ....

CD was in the machine ... Maybe it took drivers from the CD
How can I Undo that ????? uninstall does not remove the USB flash drivers, tried to remove and reinstall but pc never asks for those drivers any more ???

Any IDEA how to undo the USBFLASH DRIVER instalation ????
What about the country ?
Vhat about the connector
What about other different stuff.....

My Memory stick fails Up completely I need to Update !!!!!

the only thing i can imagine is that your phone is branded.

as a owner of a k750 and w800 , i updated them without any problems,
proud owner of a 800i , 200i , p910i + route 66 mobile 2006 and a hbh-600 , gave my k800i to my girl ( enjoying my new WII and DS lite )

Except for the vodaphone kife portal nothing can be seen.
in relation to branding.

I suspect i'm working with the wrong drivers but once installed ?? how to undo th instalation except for a complete rebuild of XP ????
especialy without the knowledge of what driver was intalled where ??

any tips.

some countries do not have the update wich ones ? belgium holanf ????
what about the connector, does this make a phone different.
at least the usb is the same ....

if you mean the USB update drivers - it can be tricky, but its possible to reinstall.

** unconnect phone from USB **

go to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS

and delete everything with 'K750' in the filename (theres a few)

then open up device manager

Then pop in original CD and reattach phone

it should ask to install drivers at this point, in which case point windows to the CD.

If it doesnt, then when you connect the phone - in device manager you will see flash up very quickly "K750 update driver" (or something like that), you need to right click it before it dissapears (very tricky but possible) and reinstall drivers.

Ive done it twice after windows messed it up.

I found out the procedure myself
with one exception.

As it is suppoed to be the drivers that need to be replaced
i did following:

delete as you mention all USB drivers
delete in device manager all USB drivers
remove the update software UNistall AND DELETE
reboot
but DO NOT INTRODUCE THE CD
for all USB drivers especialy the flash the machine is requesting the
right software (ca n not be found anymore...
expand the zip update drivers from seus

and manualy force the procedure to pick from the expanded zip
this way we are sure to have replaced all the drivers

reboot the system and reapply the update.
all seems to apear flowless.....
except :
-it mentions software already up to date
-Continue
-A lot of processing seems to be done it takes a long time
-No complaints whatsoever found

I need to restart the GSM twice (internal update ????)
BUT AFTER CHECKINING IT SEEMED TO HAVE REINSTALLED THE OLD VERSION AN OTHER TIME !!!!

I'ts my impression that with the new drivers the memory stick behavior is a little better .... But THE FIRMWARE WAS NOT CHANGED !!!!!

Are there other ways to enforce a FIRMWARE UPDATE
WHy the hell is a new machine refusing an update without any other complaint????
Why do I need to reset the GSM twice ???? IS SOMETHING GOING WRONG HERE (RESETTING TO ORIGINAL VERSION MAYBE... BUT HARDLY A WAY TO SEE THAT ???

oh i forgot,

you need to hold down 'c' on the phone when connecting (like the update), as this makes the phone send a different signal which requires the USB update drivers.. Then you can see it in Device Manager..

sorry don't understand.
As I switch the empty phone on I press C (and continue)
nothing happens. I insert the connector,
now the program signals it is updating after it tells me to release the C
as I did, Some boxes are running over the screen twice if I rember well
then it claims all is successfull, I do disconnect

implicitly we reboot the gsm . it comes up for 5 seconds and dies
retry and it boots in the old mode.

As you see the press C is used but ...
No effect in real updates....
after testing more, memory stick does not work correctly opposed to menioning it differently , bad firmware ....
Still looking hard for a solution

Why the hell is it working that hard and then do nothing
what is it doing ??? why not an update
Why (if) it works for others

ok i think youre confused.

If the SUES software already says you are up to date, then there is no new software to download.

It reboots in the old mode as you put it, because that is the latest for your region & branding.

Some people have found that this still downloads new firmware, but this was just a glitch.

PS
I mentioned holding C in reference to re-installing the USB drivers, not the
update. It is already known that you hold it down to run the update.
