hi...
i was wondering if it is wise to invest in w800i if the hardware is exactly the same as k750...except for a memory card and walkman...
i am really serious in getting any one of these..just wanna discard my nokia 6681 |

Get the w800i, its better value as you get the better Hedphones(HPM-70, £25) and the better Card(512MB, £30 vs 64MB) and you don't have to upgrade the software(Davinci Credit £10) So unless your saving £60+ get the w800i

Its the same FW at the moment, I have no bugs with my w800i or my K750i. It seems to be handset/region related.

well..wat abt the few bugs which i've come to know from various reviews..like if u get an sms from a new no. u cannot save it directly...u hv to call that new no. and then promptly disconnect it...and then save it from yr dialled nos. list..isnt it too inconvenient?? |

NOT WITH A W800I MATEY...... i have been able to save a new number that texts me on my w800i? maybe this is either a k750 prob (which i doubt) or just incompitance of the user ???

imo the w8 keypad solution ( or d750i ) is far better then k750i, more comforteable at usage. for me thats the only difference between the 2 fones, cos a d750i or k750i can be easy flashed with w8 fw and the 512mb mem stick isnt that expensive aswell. so if u are lucky and get a d or k cheap, go for that and let it transform in a w8.

if your willing to pay a tad more for the walkman, higher capacity memory stick and better headphones, and don't mind the look then get the w800. if you don't want to pay for that and bearing in mind that the k750 has a decent media player too, even if it does lack some of the walkman features, and perhaps you prefer the k750 design like myself then get the k750, and as far as i know, apart from what a few users say, when you get whatever one you decide, they should be already on the latest firmware which i know has hardly any if not any bugs whatsoever, best firmware yet. so don't worry about that bit ok. hope i helped.
