how can i do an imei check on some phones to make sure that they arent stolen or gona get blocked?

but i lifted this from the site:
Warning: This check only provides details of phones reported and blocked at the time of the inquiry therefore it is not conclusive. If the owner of the phone does not report it lost or stolen prior to your purchase, the resulting IMEI check cannot identify it as a lost or stolen.
So unless the phone is already blocked, it wont show up. so u cant really check if a phone is GOING to be blocked if you follow me...

best thing is to call a local network provider and see if the IMEI is grey-/blacklisted. |

He knows the imei number. he wants to check to see if it is blacklisted with the networks in the uk.

I checked my barred handset's IMEI, and it says the phone isn't barred, must only work for phones from Oz...
